Really enjoyed this quiz, I was wrong on the first one as I new her father died in 1952 so I was actually going by when she was crowned in 1953, but in all I done well.
Outside the gates at Buckingham Palace on a Sunday afternoon in June I noticed the posture and attention of the police change. A couple of them touched their earpieces. Sound of sirens. A black Range Rover rolled through, preceded by a few motorcycle cops; then a not-new model black Jaguar approached. I saw The Hat and I knew. Standing kerbside, I got the best picture, fairly closeup but not intrusive of E II. Best feature was the cop, hand on weapon, smiling a little but also had a look like, “Do NOT lean even one centimeter closer.” It was an unexpectedly fun end to the day.
Wow! What an experience! I’ve never seen the Queen but I saw the Queen Mother and also Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales.
My dad mum met the queens mother
