Today is the anniversary of the death of Catherine Woodville, Duchess of Buckingham and Bedford, in 1497.

  • 1515 – John Stewart, 2nd Duke of Albany, landed in Dumbarton with French soldiers to obtain the regency of Scotland.
  • 1536 – Anne Boleyn's execution was postponed.
