What's exciting about this display is that the Rothschild Portraits, that you see side by side in the image accompanying this post, have now been attributed to Nicholas Hilliard, the famous miniaturist and a man thought to be responsible for the Pelican and Phoenix portraits of Elizabeth I. The Rothschild Portraits are of Elizabeth I and Sir Amias Paulet. You'll be able to read more in the magazine.
