Blessed William Carter – Claire Chats video

It's not unusual for my interest to be piqued when I'm going through my list of "on this day" events, and today it was William Carter's execution, on 11th January 1584, which made me want to dig a bit deeper into his story.

    Blessed William Carter was martyred because he worked for a printer who printed Catholic pamphlets. His own work encouraged people in their faith, not promoting the death of the Queen Elizabeth I.

      He didn’t work for the printer, he was actually the printer.
