The Tudor Society

November’s Live Chats – 16 and 30 November

Just to let you know the details of this month's live chats. Our informal chat on the topic of Religious persecution and martyrs (such a cheery topic!) will take place on Friday 16th November and our expert live chat with author and founder of the Tudor Society, Claire Ridgway, is on Friday 30th November.

Both chats will be an hour long and will take place in the Tudor Society chatroom at

The topic of religious persecution and martyrs ties in with the theme of this month's magazine, heresy burnings, and I'm sure the hour will fly by as we talk about this huge topic. As this chat is an informal one, there will not be an expert, it's more of a discussion or debate, with Claire acting as moderator.

Here are the times in different time zones:

Claire is presently working on a book on Catherine Howard's fall and so spoke to us this month on Catherine and the 1541 interrogations, looking at exactly who was interrogated, what they said and what happened to them. If you haven't seen her talk then you can catch it at Claire will be happy to answer your questions and and talk all things Catherine Howard on Friday 30th November. We'll be giving away a copy of one of her books (winner's choice) to one lucky chat participant.
