The Tudor Society

Anne Boleyn and Thomas Wyatt

I hope you can feel how exited I am about the Tudor Society. Through running the Anne Boleyn Files, I've really built up some great connections with experts and historians. I'm looking forward to sharing these with you through the society.

Here is the second in my new video series about Anne Boleyn. This one focuses on her relationship with Thomas Wyatt.

Hi Claire, just wanted to tell you I think your chats are great! I want to learn as much as possible about Tudor England and I find that through your chats it is easier to remember the information. I ‘absorb’ it better than by reading a book. So thanks!

I’m so glad. I thought I’d do these short informal videos because people are so busy and so can spare a few minutes much easier than half an hour or more.

    Hi Claire –
I have a quick question; I’m happy to move it to forums if that’s where you think it belongs. Here goes:
In your Chat, you mention that Brandon left Court after telling H8 that AB was perhaps not quite “wife material.”
I’ve read that it was Wyatt who told H8 about fiddling about with AB, and it was after that Wyatt was absent from Court for a couple of years.
Do you think that happened to both gentlemen? The Wyatt story is unsubstantiated, as the ‘tale teller’ is listed only as “an English gentleman.”
    Thanks –
