Tudor Society Anniversary Anthology
A message from Claire:
I founded the Tudor Society back in 2014 as a way of bringing Tudor history lovers (both newbies and those with more advanced knowledge), historians, authors, and students together, wherever they are in the world. I also wanted to support historians and authors in their work both financially and by sharing their work with those who are hungry for it. It's now 5 years later, and I'm so proud of how it's grown and also so happy that people have got involved with it. It's a thriving community of Tudor history lovers and that's brilliant.
Every time Tim uploads an edition of "Tudor Life" Magazine onto the website, I smile. I love that we can offer members a Tudor-focused magazine, and I'm so thankful for our wonderful regular contributors. We have some excellent writers and the magazine just gets better and better. Tim, Gareth and Catherine work so hard on it too, so high fives to them. It seems fitting to celebrate our five-year anniversary with a special edition of Tudor Life. I do hope you enjoy it.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the historians who have spoken to us, all those historians and authors that have written for us, Gareth Russell for his hard work editing the magazine, Catherine Brooks who works tirelessly behind the scenes and who is now our official membership secretary, Philippa Lacey Brewell for her wonderful roving reporter virtual tours, and Tim for keeping us online and getting rid of any pesky gremlins.
And I want to thank YOU! Without you, the Tudor Society just wouldn't exist. Thank you for your support and your enthusiasm. I hope to see you in the chatroom soon!
