  • May’s live chats – 4 and 31 May

    Just in case you haven’t noticed the dates on the schedule, I wanted to alert you to the times and dates of May’s live chats.

    Our informal live chat is on 4th May at 11pm UK time. The topic is the fall of Anne Boleyn. An informal chat is just that, an informal debate where all points of view are welcome. We can pose questions to each other, discuss our points of view, recommend books etc. anything related to Anne Boleyn’s fall in 1536.

    Our informal live chat will take place on Saturday 23rd March and is on the topic of explorers, exploration and colonisation, so quite a broad topic! We can share book recommendations, discuss explorers, pose questions… Anything as long as it’s on that topic!

  • This month’s Live Chats – 4, 11 and 25 January

    I just wanted to remind you about January's live chats for Tudor Society members.

    Our expert speaker for December was historian Kate Cole. Her talk was about witches in Elizabethan and Stuart Essex, a fascinating topic. Kate will be joining us in the chatroom tomorrow (Friday 4th January) to answer your questions in a live chat session.   • Upcoming Live Chats and Christmas Party – 8th and 15th December, and 4th January

    Just to let you know the details of this month’s live chats, including our Christmas party, and a chat in early January. Our expert speaker for December is historian Kate Cole who is talking to us about witches in Elizabethan and Stuart Essex, a fascinating topic. As the lead-up to Christmas can be rather busy, Kate will be answering your questions in a live chat session on 4th January 2019.   • August Live Chats – 18 and 31 August

    Here are two dates for you to put in your diary – 18th and 31st August, the dates of August’s live chats.

    Both chats will be an hour long and will take place in the Tudor Society chatroom at https://www.tudorsociety.com/chatroom/.

    Our informal live chat is taking place on Saturday 18th August and the topic up for discussion is Henry VIII’s love life. We can discuss his relationships with his six wives, the other women he’s been linked to, the names put forward as possible illegitimate children… and so on, we can also share book recommendations, anything related to the king and his love life.
